Congratulations are in order for Multihog, who won the award for Innovation at Blackburn with Darwen’s HIVE Business Awards. The event was held at Blackburn Cathedral and saw local business’s come together and celebrate each other’s success.

Research and Development

Over the years Multihog has shown innovation in various aspects of the business. Research and development of new products such as the runway light cleaner attachment has generated success for both the brand and customers. The attachment was designed to eliminate issues faced with light cleaning with the only other alternative method deemed too inefficient and unsafe. A combination of innovative thinking from the company and listening to customer feedback, ensures Multihog create products that increase efficiency and provide solutions for the industry. Feedback has resulted in the release of a brand new model range and the design/release of 5 new attachments which include:

Customers

Multihog customers have played a massive role in achieving this award, continuing to work alongside the company to grow and improve products and services in innovative ways. Multihog was recognised for its work with local council Blackburn with Darwen, saving the council 25% per m2 in repairs. Initially, Multihog worked alongside the Highways team to ensure smooth implementation and an easy ride, now the machine is operated daily by Multihog trained operators. Multihog provide bespoke LANTRA accredited training to all operatives to maximise the potentials of the machine. Local authorities make up a strong portion of Multihog's customer base and focus is on helping them achieve significant savings, including reducing costs for Amey M8.

"The emphasis has always been, listen to our customers and build on their suggestions to make something that works for them. That is why the machine you see today is as versatile as it is. To be recognised in an award for this type of innovation is a nice endorsement to everyone involved." – Josh Sweeney, Strategic Marketing Manager.
